At Seven Oxen, we believe wine is about connection just as much as what’s in the glass. Our tasting room is meant to feel welcoming, relaxed, and personal, a place where guests can slow down, learn something new, and leave feeling like they were genuinely cared for.

We’re a small tasting room intentionally designed for quality over volume. We value thoughtful hospitality, meaningful conversations, and creating memorable experiences that guests genuinely connect with.

We’re looking for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys connecting with people, and is excited to help create memorable experiences for our guests and Wine Club members.

The Role

This is a hands-on hospitality role where you’ll often be working independently and managing the tasting room on your own. That means opening and closing the space, guiding tastings, building relationships with guests, and making sure every visitor feels welcomed from the moment they walk in.

Wine knowledge is a plus, but it’s not the most important thing to us. We can teach wine. What matters most is someone who is warm, reliable, curious, and genuinely enjoys creating thoughtful experiences for others.

What You’ll Be Doing

    • Welcome guests and provide an approachable, elevated tasting experience
    • Guide visitors through wine flights while sharing our story, vineyards, and winemaking philosophy
    • Build strong relationships with Wine Club members and returning guests
    • Open and close the tasting room independently
    • Process purchases and club sign-ups through our POS system
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting space throughout the day
    • Assist with winery events, release weekends, and special experiences as needed

What We’re Looking For

    • Someone who is personable, engaging, and comfortable leading conversations
    • A strong sense of hospitality and attention to detail
    • Confidence working independently and managing responsibilities solo
    • Reliability and the ability to commit to a 4-day work week, including mandatory weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays)
    • Ability to stay calm and organized during busy tasting room rushes
    • Interest in wine and eagerness to continue learning about it
    • Must be 21+ and able to lift up to 40 lbs (a case of wine)
